Yukon Fundraiser: Parents’ Day
We’re very close to our fundraising goal! In order to get us all the way there, we’re excited to provide a day of childcare for parents and families in our church! On Saturday, June 17, we’re going to open our building up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for you to drop off your kiddos for as long as you’d like, so that you can do whatever you’d like!
The cost for this is simply a donation of any amount toward the Yukon Mission Trip! You’re welcome to drop off and pick up your children at any time throughout the duration of the event. There will be no food provided, so please send your children with snacks or lunch. Registration is required, so please click below to get your children signed up! If you have any questions, please email Jordan at Jordan.coros@harvestbarrie.ca.
Harvest Youth is thrilled to be sending a group of senior high students on mission to the Yukon Territory this summer! In partnership with Northern Collective Church in Whitehorse, an Acts 29 Canada partner, we’ll be providing a Bible and soccer camp to kids in the Selkirk First Nation at Pelly Crossing in Yukon. This trip presents us with an incredible opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a people largely unreached by the good news of the gospel and continue the work of Northern Collective Church in seeking to plant a church in Pelly Crossing.
We’re seeking to raise $20,000 to cover the costs of our trip and to support both the gospel work the Northern Collective Church is engaged in, in the Yukon and bless the Selkirk First Nation with tangible financial gifts. Please consider how you might partner with us by financially supporting our team in order to work for gospel advancement and church partnership with our brothers and sisters in the Yukon Territory!

I have always wanted to go on a missions trip, it’s something that God placed on my heart at a young age, but I haven’t had the opportunity to go on one before. I think it’s important to go to different areas and spread the gospel, and to be a helping hand and show the love of God. I think it’s important to share the gospel with others who may not otherwise get a chance to hear God’s word.
I want to participate in this mission trip because I have been feeling called lately to evangelize to others, and to be more bold in my steps of faith to bring the gospel to people. This seems like an incredible opportunity to do that. I also love children’s ministry, and teaching kids specifically about the unconditional and eternal love and life that God offers them excites me like nothing else. Finally, I want to go on this mission trip because the Yukon is beautiful, and I’ve always wanted to travel there. And traveling there to bring the gospel to kids through sports seems like the perfect way to see this incredible part of Canada for the first time.
I want to participate in this mission to bring people to Christ, as we have been called. Hopefully through this trip, we can bring as many people to Christ as possible. Even if people are not converted, having a positive view on Christianity from a young age can really help. One day this view may turn into a heathy relationship with God. Secondly, getting to see a place I will most likely never go instead would be amazing. Obviously, one of these reasons is far more important then the other
